Great Okanagan Book Sale

Due to major challenges in safely hosting an event of the scale and popularity of our GO sale, Friends regret to advise our annual Great Okanagan Book Sale has been cancelled for November 2020. Donations are being accepted at our Westlake Road space in anticipation of sales in some format, in Spring 2021.

Please watch this page for updates about our fundraising book sales.

The Kelowna Friends of the Library, a non-profit organization formed in 1988. The Friends’ mission is to raise funds to support the Okanagan Regional Library in general and the three Kelowna area Branches in particular – Kelowna, Mission and Rutland – to enhance the profile of our libraries in the community and increase awareness and use of library programs and services.
Kelowna Friends of the Library Executive meetings are rotated between the three branch libraries, at 5:30 pm on the second Monday of most months (except January, July and August).
Our major fundraiser, the Great Okanagan Book Sale takes place in Fall each year. The Kelowna Friends of the Library also host other sales, public meetings and author events throughout the year.
